Repurposed Wood Window Frame

Living in the "Garden District" you tend to find very cool, lets say, junk on the side of the road. These older homes have great character and cool little treasures waiting to be snatched up. Here is a look at us "repurposing" an old window frame into a picture/ grocery list/ whatever hanger. It's very simple!

We have one in the kitchen already that is not painted and the character of it looks very cool but this one was pretty bad off to where it needed some sanding and paint. James is making this one for a woman to hang up in her house so naturally we picked a teal paint and brushed a little white paint on top for an added look. Grabbed some twine, cut the same measurement of strips, stapled the twine to the back of each side, measure each gap between the twine, and add some hanging hardware and there you have it! Great for pictures, grocery lists, memories, whatever. Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend!
