How To Make Rustic Brand's Handmade Packaging

I get a lot of compliments on my companies handmade packaging. I designed the idea about a year ago and I am still continuing them with every purchase. Here is a short tutorial on how I hand make Rustic Brand's infamous craft paper packaging.
The supplies I use are: 1 roll of craft wrapping paper (30 inches by 15 feet), 1 pair of "dull" scissors, 1 metal meter ruler, 1 basic 12 inch ruler (optional), 1 basic measuring tape, sewing machine, natural hemp, craft cards, and double sided tape.
I unroll one of the craft wrapping paper rolls. Usually I can get it for just $1 at the dollar tree. One roll usually makes 72 hand made packaging slips.
After rolling out the craft paper long ways side to side, I measure with my measuring tape 15 inches at the top and 15 inches on the bottom from the right to the left of the craft paper. I place my metal meter ruler while I am measuring to save both spots to where the cut needs to be. Then I drag a dull pair of scissors down the side of the metal meter ruler making an imperfect rouge cut. Then I rip the paper apart with my hands leaving a cool distressed cut. I do this 12 times until the roll of paper is out.
After I have all twelve 30 inch by 15 inch rolls done, it is time to cut them smaller. Using the same method as before, I now cut (using 5 inch increments) 5 different rough cuts right to left of each small roll making 6 pieces per roll. I do this for all 72 packaging slips. I let them rest flat with the regular 12 inch ruler flattening them out from curling up. You can use any long object to help flatten them out. After that, I fold the craft paper into the shape of my packaging you see above. First I fold a long piece, then on top of that I fold a shorter piece which is the flap to the packaging.
Now it is time to sew the edges with my Singer sewing machine. I sew one end with black thread right on the edge of the paper leaving about 1/4th of an inch of space from the thread to the edge of the packaging.
I repeat on the other side and cut off the excess black threads.
Time to stamp my logo on the packaging!
I bought my logo stamp from Etsy, of course. I stamp with black ink at the bottom middle of each packaging slip.
I place the product bought buy the customer and one of my business cards in the packaging.
I use a basic business sized craft card, stamp a feathered arrow in the middle, then use double sided tape to stick it in the middle to close the packaging flap shut. Finally, I use 100% all natural black hemp rope to tie it off for a cool gift style look.
There you have it! My packaging usually takes me an entire work day to create all 72. I usually cut all 72 in one sitting but I sew them in small bundles of like 20 or so at a time instead of me sitting at the sewing machine forever all in one day. It gets pretty tiring.
Thanks for reading and I hope this helped with any questions you may of had about my handcrafted packaging for Rustic Brand.
