If you are a follower on my instagram account then you may know a lot of what's been happening with Rustic Brand. As you may know, it's the Holiday season and that means no life for me. It also means rare times when I can sit back and write up a blog post. I have been prepping my inventory all last month (and October) to get ready for what I can expect as my busiest month yet. And it has been! You guys have helped break records for Rustic Brand! This year I am (so far) able to manage all the e-mails and crafting orders but next year I see myself hiring a part timer to help me with all the questions and custom orders requests. That is really what takes so much time when I can spend more time getting the orders that have already been purchased out quicker.
Before the orders got a little too crazy, I was able to shoot my Christmas LookBook. I usually do it by the seasons but this time of year is a little harder to get things exactly how I would like it. So instead of a "Winter LookBook" I shot a Christmas themed one instead. Who knows, maybe I'll do a Winter one in the beginning of January for v-day and stuff too. I have an amazing team that really put outs effort and can be directed exactly how I need them. If they can handle my pickiness and OCD then they're keepers!
Also Rustic Brand's 2 year anniversary is coming up on December 12th and I wanted to celebrate in a big way. So I started a charity: TheWaterKeys.com.
This charity is all about bringing fresh water wells to children in Africa, Latin America, and South East Asia where most of their water is hours away and totally filthy. You can read more about it here and learn how to purchase a water key necklace or just donate directly to my cause.
Well time to get back to work! My Christmas order deadline is December 12th so it's time to get an even faster pace going.
